About Us
Big Ears, Warm Hearts
We are tucked away in the forest with no roads to cross just gravel tracks, heath land and ancient woodland to meander. Whilst walking you should see the forest ponies grazing in their natural habitat. In this wonderful setting we would love to share our passion for donkeys with you.
Whatever the time of day and whatever the season the forest is a special place to spend time. Donkeys are quiet comforting animals to be around. They are good listeners – hence the big ears! So if life is stressful and you want to unwind then a walk and a chat with a donkey will bring a smile to your face and they will never tell your secrets.
Adults and children alike love donkeys and there is a lot to be gained by getting to know these big eared big hearted creatures. Donkey visits can be tailored to suit the individual it is our intention to keep your visit relaxed.
We like to listen to your requests and accommodate wherever possible. Some people like to spend time brushing or just getting to know their donkeys whilst others want to get walking to enjoy the forest in the company of their donkey. We just want you to enjoy your experience.

Terms and Conditions
Our main season operates from February to October inc. during these months we would cancel if heavy rain was forecast as donkeys hate the rain. During the height of summer we might contact you to amend the time of your walk if the temperature is very high.
During the winter months November to January inc. we offer a donkey bedtime experience that can be booked with or without a short walk.
- You can choose from 3 experiences (price is per experience).
- Donkey goodnight (approx.30 mins)
£50 for four donkeys – max of 8 people - Donkey goodnight with short walk (approx. 45 mins)
£70 for two donkeys – max of 4 people - Donkey goodnight with short walk (approx. 45 mins)
£90 for four donkeys – max of 8 people
- Donkey goodnight (approx.30 mins)
- Donkey goodnight includes – prepare the donkeys ready for bed, check them over and give them a cuddle, feed them their supper and pop them into bed in their barn. No bedtime story required!
- You will be escorted at all times on the walks.
- No riding of donkeys.
- Under 16’s to be accompanied by an adult.
- No dogs permitted.
- The terrain is uneven and sometimes wet so sensible footwear will be required.
- We are fully licensed and insured details are displayed in the yard.
- Covid rules will be observed at all times.
- Hand washing facilities are available on site, the nearest public toilet can be found in Brockenhurst village.
- Cancellation – We require 12 hours notice of cancellation. If we do not receive the cancellation within this time limit you will be invoiced for 50% of the total cost.
